FanimeCon 2013 and ramblings

Yep it's 22 days until FanimeCon 2013! This will be my first time cosplaying from Homestuck at FanimeCon so I hope I have a good time at the gathering. My cosplay plan for this year is my Velvet Rose outfit. And as usual I will only be wearing one cosplay to the convention.

It seems weird that every year my friends continue to make more and more cosplays and they debute multiple ones at one convention. I always feel a little strange because I only make maybe 1 cosplay a year and I only ever have one cosplay planned for a convention. Sometimes it evens makes me a little sad but normally I'm always happy to see my friend's cosplays! All the cosplayers I know are very talented and make beautiful cosplays every year! Occasionally I wonder how I became friends with such excellent people! All of them are so talented and they have great personalities.

Every year I attend a convention I'm always helping them in some way and I always feel bad that I do. But it seems to be in my nature. I help people but I never help myself. To be honest I don't really care though. I like to help my friends and make sure everyone see how great they are. That's why I almost automatically assume that when someone wants a picture with them they don't want me in it. My instinct is to go off on the side and make sure I'm not in the picture. But then my friends say 'come on be in the picture too!" and I feel awkward. I want my picture taken because it gives me a nice feeling when I find them later on her or on tumblr.

Either way I'm always nervous and excited when a convention comes around. This year I'll just feel more nervous because I'll be cosplaying something I MADE. It was one thing at SacAnime but it's another thing all together to wear it at FanimeCon. I'm very excited and I hope to see everyone there! So who's planning to attend this year?
